Ada beberapa teknik yang dilakukan untuk melakukan operasi apendektomi diantaranya :
- Posisi supine, anestesi umum/regional, aseptik/antiseptik
- Irisan kulit sesuai garis langers melalui titik Mc.Bourney atau titik Lanz 3 cm.
- Aponeurosis m.oblikus abdominis eksternus dibuja Muskulus abdominis internus displit sehingga tampak peritoneum. Peritoneum dibuka, sekum dikeluarkan hingga tampak apendiks, kemudian dibebaskan dari meso apendiks dan diklem pada pangkalnya.
- Mesoapendiks diligasi dengan silk, kemudian dipotong.
- Pangkal apendiks dapat dibenamkan dengan jahitan kantong tembakau, kontrol perdarahan, tutup luka operasi lapis demi lapis.
Jika anda telah mengikuti semua teknik di atas, maka operasi selesai.
